A leave with full compensation and benefits of up to one day per fiscal year may be granted to employees who are absent from work as a result of extreme weather conditions when the university is open. Further leaves of this nature will be without pay and will be granted at the discretion of the immediate manager. Payment for paid holidays will be based on the employee’s scheduled hours of work. Where these hours differ from day to day, the rate of pay will be based on the average of the employee’s daily earnings, exclusive of overtime, for the days worked in the 13 week period immediately preceding the holiday. Benefit plans and benefit coverage will be continued during the reduced work program.

Prerequisite and Co-requisite Courses

If the other plan does not contain a coordination of benefits provision, then that plan shall be considered first payer. In the unlikely event your pharmacist will not submit your claim to the insurance company; you will need to forward the Special Authorization approval form and your paid-in-full receipts directly to the insurance company. What happens to my Special Authorization request once I have sent it to the Insurance Company? Government Plans

Payments will not be made for room, board or other living, traveling or clothing expenses. With the Ontario Drug Benefit program, as a senior (someone 65 years or older) you pay a portion of prescription-drug costs based on your annual income and marital status. You can get coverage as a single senior (including as a widowed spouse) or as a couple (includes spouses who are married, same-sex or common-law partners). Courses taken that are for interest and are not work related are considered a taxable benefit.

What’s covered

Coverage for a dependent child with full-time student status will automatically end at age 25 unless the child has disability status. Your health and life insurance benefits program consist of the following benefit plans that fall into the categories of Core and Optional plans. Admission to the Faculty of Science

Perceptions of the family

Your legal or common-law spouse (same or opposite sex) who’s living with you is eligible for coverage. By enrolling your common-law spouse in your benefits plans, you’re declaring that person as your common-law spouse, and that you’ve been living in a common-law relationship or cohabiting for at least 12 months. The cohabitation period may be less than 12 months if you claimed your common-law spouse’s child/children for tax purposes.

The addition of children to a marriage creates added financial and emotional stress.
